Yamada Japanese Restaurant

This place is AMAZING!! It was a last minute that just made sense! I'm new to exploring sushi and I absolutely loved it! Many options on the menu, great prices, great plating (that's important to me), fresh food. I just have zero complaints. Please go here, that is all!

My family and I went for sushi at Yamada. I have been enjoying sushi for years, and I never had a bad experience, until I ate at Yamada. We were served rotten fish. The staff would not refund me because the manager was not there. Some staff were nice, the others were indifferent and seemed like they couldn't care less if they tried. Now my child will not eat sushi anymore. I will not return to this establishment.

I've been coming here for two years, and I absolutely love this place. This is my favorite sushi spot, and believe me I been to few. The staff, especially the male server, are the friendliest people and always great me with a smile. I never have to ask for a refill and they are constantly coming to the table to pick up any dishes we are done with. Their food is amazing. No matter what you are having sushi, teriyaki, the hibachi plates or their fried ice cream, you will love it !!

Fresh food from a menu with a huge variety for both sushi and Japanese entrees. The sushi was delicious and their tonkatsu was crisp and flavorful. The wait staff were also attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend the tonkatsu and the fried chicken.

Bad service. They asked me not to buy too much because the waitress was lazy. Very rude waitress. The shrimp was over cooked. The tables were weird.

Been going here for 10+ yrs. Always a good experience. Today they gave me a tulip for mother's day. Another year they gave me a bracelet, and that's when my husband went to get take-out. They have good food and good menu and great service and atmosphere

Food is always great when we go there. Went for lunch. Had chicken pad Thai. Husband had yoba noodles with beef and shrimp tempura. Big portions for the entrees. My favorite roll is the avocado and peanut roll. Service is great.

We love going out. Last night we arrived in this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We enjoyed a beautiful evening there with high-qulity meal and a courteous stuff and an impressive chief cook. We put this restaurant in our list and we will certainly go again very soon. We deeply recommend.

The delivery service is horrible. They are one hour late almost every time you order. I have given them multiple chances but now I'm done. I'll find another hibachi restaurant. If you want you food any time soon definitely don't order from them

Great fresh sushi! Great party platters as well! Employees are nice and their is parking alongside sidewalk if you can grab one! Bus stops right in front as well!

I Love Yamada!! Such a cozy place that welcomes you to enjoy some good quality Japanese food. You have to try the angry dragon roll and the beauty and the beast roll (raw salmon and tuna). The hot sake is my boyfriend’s favorite! Goes well with everything on the menu. Sapporo light beer is a go to if you want to watch those calories and carbs like me ( lol). Overall, Yamada is a very clean, cozy place with good quality food. I come here every time I crave good sushi.

Always a great experience. The servers are polite and very patient. The food deserves 10 stars to be honest. you don't feel like you're being rushed out the door as soon as you sit down which is very awesome.

Although food is generally good, they need more waitresses/waiters, or at least change the one they have because she must be overwhelmed and it shows. Not friendly, and when working for a restaurant, you must "appear " that you love all patrons, not just take an order.

Yamada East Tremont- It’s terrible service and the food are not Japanese it’s Chinese/Korean. The waitress was busy playing with her cellphone and she forgot to get our orders. Our last dinner in this yamada location.

Their service was extremely good. They greeted me when I walked through the door, they make AMAZING sushi and the restaurant is really clean!

The ambiance is exactly what I was looking for...a nice change of pace from the usual Italian eateries in Throggs Neck. The food is prepared with class and precision. Its taste is stellar and restaurant quality. Love Yamada.

Went here for the first time which was my mom's birthday I was looking to take her some place different and I did not regret the trip, the food was good, decor was good, the host was helpful we even got a dessert on the house. Certainly will go back since I'm on a sushi crave journey.

Husband & I love the sushi & the fried oysters appetizer it’s delicious you won’t go wrong coming here. The service is great As well.

I love this place more and more every time I go. I adore management and the service. The entire aura of the place is perfect for a date, a girl's night or dinner with a friend. I love the food. And the prices are so reasonable.

The some of their sushi rolls are quite tasty and their oyster appetizer is fresh and flavorful. Their seafood rice was quite salty. Overall, a pleasant experience and good service.
